Peace Prize 2013 for Imprisoned Iranian student leader, Majid Tavakoli

Majid Tavakoli, an imprisoned Iranian Student serving a nine-year-long imprisonment because of his criticism of the Iranian regime and his fight for democracy and human rights has been awarded the 2013 Student Peace Prize on UN-established International Day for Peace.

Student Peace Prize originated in International Student Festival in Trondheim (ISFiT). The Prize is awarded on behalf of all students in Norway, while the selection itself is made by an independent Student Peace Prize Committee.
